Arielle Egan began her career as a paralegal at the Defender Association of Philadelphia in 2013, while attending Temple University Beasley School of Law as an evening student. She was the first recipient of the Ohlbaum Scholarship, set aside for students with an aptitude for trial work. Arielle interned with the Honorable L. Felipe Restrepo on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, where she worked on numerous civil and criminal appeals.


Arielle was hired as an attorney at the Defender Association in 2018, where she represented clients in arraignments, preliminary hearings, bail hearings, violation of probation hearings, and at trial in Philadelphia’s Municipal Court and Juvenile Court.


As a Philadelphia native with nearly ten years of experience assisting clients navigate Philadelphia’s criminal justice system, Arielle is intimately familiar with the city and its courts.
